Kim Jong-kook Turned Down Multiple Blind Dates Set Up by Lee Min-jung: Is He Already Dated Someone?

On the May 29 episode of KBS2’s Problem Child in House, Lee Min-jung candidly shared her experience trying to play matchmaker for the famously private entertainer, Kim Jong-kook. “My husband [actor Lee Byung-hun] knows Kim Jong-kook. We even had a meal together in the U.S.,” she said.
She continued, “I tried to set Kim Jong-kook up on a blind date. I was very persistent, but he kept refusing.”

Kim Jong-kook responded by explaining his aversion to formal matchmaking, “Blind dates feel uncomfortable. There’s this unspoken pressure to follow up. I’m fine with meeting people naturally, but formal setups feel a bit stiff.”
Even when Lee Min-jung attempted a more casual introduction, he still declined, “Even when I tried to help him meet someone more naturally, he still said no,” she added, with a laugh.

The revelation prompted the show’s hosts to jokingly speculate, “Kim Jong-kook must already be seeing someone.”
To wrap up the segment, Lee Min-jung playfully added, “Well, that person [referring to the woman she tried to set him up with] got married and is living happily now.”

Kim Jong-kook, who has long maintained a low profile when it comes to his personal life, has faced countless dating rumors over the years, but has yet to publicly confirm any relationship. His reluctance to date through traditional setups has once again fueled curiosity among fans and viewers.
